love in the mail, with help from aarp

This is the birthday59 gift for the Melaness.

It's a $10 gift card to Barnes & Noble Bookstore.

"I hope the enclosed gift will help you find a new treasure
or a new treat to eat!"

Here is the birthday60 gift for Jeff the ex.

His is a $20 gift card to Applebee's.

"After much thought, I came up with this:
a gift for a favorite food that you introduced me to years ago.
(Of course, you can choose to eat something else.)
May every bite remind you of the many
delightful flavors of life!"

Next up is the birthday19 gift for nephew Merritt.

That's a two-parter: $10 to Pilot Flying J gas station
and $10 to Buffalo Wild Wings.

"How about a little something for your car as well as
a little something for you?
Sounds like a plan, Stan!
And quite a deal, Neil!"

Then there's the one for birthday 18 of great-niece Caitlyn.

For her, I have $10 to Pet Smart.

"I'm sure you'll enjoy sharing this gift with your
favorite animal buddy!"

No doubt that will be her standard poodle!

Now for the Christmas gifts!

The two Beaufort boys now in Cullen, Alabama, are each
getting $10 gift certificates to IHOP.

I bet they can put away some pancakes!!!

Happy eating, Merritt and Conner!

As for the niece in Sumiton, she'll have
$10 for Bath & Body Works as well as
the Giving Card from Chicken Salad Chick!

I'm sure her mom will take be glad to take
Aubree on a girls' day out
to shop for smell-pretty lotions and soaps
before a nice luncheon!

I do hope they will all enjoy their gifts!
I'm so glad I still have that Whoville stationery
from the Post Office's promotion for the "How The
Grinch Stole Christmas" stamps.
That was back in 2000, in conjunction with the new
movie that featured Jim Carrey.
I'll have to make more use of that pretty paper -
and not just at Christmas!

Except for the gift certificate to Jeff, and the Giving Card to Aubree, all the others were obtained from AARP. I earned them by watching videos, answering questionnaires, and playing mind-enriching games like Trivia and Outspell (like Scrabble) and doing crossword puzzles.
Such a help to my budget!
(smile!)
