Thurman Butcher, Cheri Hester's dad, died a week ago, on May 28th.
Today, the family was finally together for the Celebration of his life.
"Butch" was Asbury Memorial 'royalty', so the service had to be extra special...
and it was.
Rather, the part of it I saw was extra special.
I was late, but right on time for Billy's sermon about his father-in-law.
He related some humorous tales about their interactions when he was dating the high school principal's one-and-only daughter.
I can just imagine, as I am also a one-and-only daughter.
