sally saves the day... again

I do, of course, realize that it wasn't Sally Hawkins herself who saved the day.
She did so as the character, Mary Brown, mom of the household where Paddington resides.
This time, she was no mute... but still a swimmer.
When the little brown bear becomes trapped in a submerged train car, she doesn't even hesitate to leap into the water to save him.
Sure, she needs an assist from a few strong men to break the chain that binds...
but she was there quite a bit before they were.

As you know, I have a longstanding affinity for the name "Sally".
I now have a growing affinity for this actress.
Vocal or mute, she weaves a heroic thread into the tapestry of her characters.
I'll be watching for her in the future.

My thanks to Carolyn for bringing "Paddington 2" to my attention.
Full of good, clean fun, and Hugh Grant as an absolutely joyful-to-watch villain, I found the presence of Sally Hawkins to be an unexpected bonus.
Yes, she was in the first movie, too...
but she was not yet a blip on my radar.
i thank You, God, for the new glow on my screen.
