I've had my ticket for this doubleheader ever since I first heard it existed!
I knew I would be on my birthday vacation, though, and took care to not schedule anything else for today. Nothing but Deadpool for me, thanks!
Regal The Loop - you know, the one next door to Ben & Jerry's - is the cinema I selected, for two reasons. First, there's that ice cream thing. (smile) Second, it's fairly close to the pirate lair, so I won't be driving too far.
My taking in a double feature about a Marvel man should come as no surprise, right? It's not like this is the first time I've done that. That cherry was popped by the Guardians of the Galaxy last year. What a great ride that was!
This time, the fun begins at 4 PM. That's two hours from now. So, I'll be eaving right shortly to make sure I don't miss a single minute of that first movie! After all, I haven't seen it since my first niece had me over to watch her personal copy of "Deadpool"... and that was May 16... of 2016.
Almost exactly two years ago.
I had seen it four times in the cinema, with my first time on February 12 of that year.
Two days later, I was back for more and had Christina Ann with me.
I still have the dead rosebud gathered after that screening. It sits atop my entertainment center, cheering me with the crystallized memory of that day.
Oh, yeah!
Now I say: Bring on the Deadpool! Then bring on the "Deadpool 2", too!
Even its synopsis is a hoot!
