I had a contingent from Hinesville, as well as a division from Guyton!
The last time that happened was almost a month ago for two celebrations.
This time, we gathered at 11 AM for a free screening of "Elf" at the new cinema in Savannah.
Over to my house, of course!
Early Christmas gifts awaited!!!
The twins were the first to open their presents, from their perches on the couch with their Dad.
Believe me, "perches" is correct, as their ornaments had birds on them!
Hahahaha! Nice little joke for them!
Chloe delved right into the movie snack box - that child always likes food!
Miyah, though, followed her cousins' lead and unwrapped the 'gnome for the holidays' cloaking her gift.
Oh, it was five golden rings!!!
That was the same as her age! And Chloe's four calling birds was perfect for her!
So, did the twins get eight maids a-milking?
I couldn't give that to both of them, now could I?
However, a partridge in a pear tree (for Alyssa) plus Leila's seven swans a-swimming gave them the right number of birds total!
Yep, the theme is "The 12 Days of Christmas", and the two older girls really liked that I put some math into their gifts.
(smile!)
And they all enjoyed the movie-night snack boxes, each with a package of popcorn, two snack bags of min-pretzels, and a pouch of gummies...
but I could tell they wanted something more.
So, they each got to select a glittering 'diamond' from my tree!
There was pink for Leila, blue for Alyssa, purple for Miyah, and blue for Chloe.
Perfect!
Only, it wasn't quite.
We all went off to Cici's where Michael treated us to lunch.
I asked each girl who their favorite teacher was - Leila had three favorites! - and I made sure to sit beside Miyah this time.
Afterward, we were all playing with a ball Michael had "won" from the game room, and, somehow, a blue diamond ended up out there with us.
Was it Chloe's or Alyssa's???
No one knew.
Moral of the story: make sure each gets a different color!!!
(smile!)
Now, after four hours with them, I think I may take a nap before my next event.
(smile!)
