michael's bday34 in the Vannah!

Yep, ya heard right!

Even though he lives in Guyton!

I guess, with the family spread out between there and Hinesville, Savannah is kinda sorta in the middle.

Lucky break for me!

And here's the birthday boy himself!

His big sister had just bought those bright and goofy glasses for him, making her late to the gathering.

Hey, that's her modus operandi, so situation normal!

And here she is, with her little munchkins!

Yep, that's my first niece, all right, on the right!

And their little sister, Chelsea, is right by her side!

We're all at Sakura for some buffet-style feasting!

Michael really likes Asian food, so his birthday feasts are at restaurants I like, too.

Good thing they had room for all of us in the side area, at the big tables.

All of us, did I say?

Yep, there were sixteen of us singing "Happy Birthday" to him, with six kids in the mix!

Can you spot Michael, leaning forward to blow out the candles?

And to either side of the blond strip on his head are the twin blonde heads of Leila (in black) and Alyssa (in blue)!

Then, after almost two hours of food and visiting, you know what was next, right?

Party in the parking lot!

Had to give those kids some space to run off all that sugar from cake and lots of ice cream!

I was the street chaperone, standing as a human fence to keep the kids on the grassy square and away from the busy road - RAWR!!! LOL!

That gave us all an extra hour for chatting and gift opening and saying our goodbyes...

until the next time!

(smile!)

See that child in near center, wearing the almost glowing pink skirt?
That's Chloe, soon to be 4 years old.
The outfit she's wearing was worn by her older sister just last week.
Miyah was 5 in March.
There's almost exactly 18 months in age between the two girls.
So why is the older girl not growing more?
She's on medications to keep her temper in check, and those drugs have a side effect of cutting her hunger detector out of the loop.
Chloe has no such problem and is not on those meds, so she has the appetite of... well, of a growing child!
Here's hoping Miyah will one day soon be off the meds, so she can catch up with her "little" sister.
