No, not yet, though I have found THE ONE for me!
Now to see if she likes Elvis music enough for The Tribute Cruise in February!!!
I've wanted to go on that for years, but never could afford it.
That money was always tied up in annual maintenance fees to Diamond Resorts.
Not any more!!!
I am free, free, free of DRI!!!
Official letters of release had come for two of the four contracts I had with them, each of which had cost $1000 to "transition" to closed status.
I'd paid the fees, as that total amount wasn't any different from the annual fees.
Anyway, I'd emailed Hilton Grand Vacations about the remaining two contracts... and received word that they had been closed as well!
Hooray and hallejulah!!!
Now, since that money isn't being siphoned away every January, I'll have funds to go on different vacations, as well as cruises, and not be restricted to resorts!!!
"Oh, g'friend, I am so relieved that you don't still have that hanging around your neck!
I know you had some very good times with it, as did folks you shared those resorts with.
But it's a relief to know that annual debt won't be passed on to someone else's wallet after you're gone."
Amen, sister!
"So, if that type of cruise isn't the topic, then what is?"
The "Tom" variety, the one who just turned 61 years old the day before the 4th of July!
I've seen him in three movies this week.
Well, in two full movies and snippets of a third starring the Mapother IV.
"Is that the type of plane he was in?"
No, silly, those were F-14's and F-18's.
I was referring to his true surname.
(smile!)
"Ha ha."
I thought it was pretty funny!
So, here's the breakdown of screenings with that "Risky Business" fellow.
The first was on Monday, when the J-Dawg came over for "Top Gun".
By the way, at 24, Cruise was several years too young to have been through Officer Candidate School and then flight school in the Navy, as he first would have had to graduate college.
"You and your attention to folks' ages..."
The second time was yesterday, when he appeared in the scenes from "Top Gun", as well as the more recent "Top Gun: Maverick", where he is supposed to be more than 30 years older than he had been in the first film.
In actuality, he's 61 now, same as my brother Ronnie would have been, same as John Denion and cuzn Michelle are.
"Oh, that's pretty cool..."
The third time was earlier today, when I finally saw the latest film, "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning", on the Big D screen.
Let me say, that's a very good movie!
I had been concerned, as I knew it to be Part 1 of 2, but they made sure it ended in the absolute perfect place for a continuation.
I was very pleased with that!
Moreover, they didn't do the trick where they have a teaser at the end of the credits.
Nope!
They tell you in the ads that it's to be continued, so no need for a end promo.
You already know the set-up and what has been left to accomplish.
Perfect.
"Very nice! If only "Fast X" had done the same... seriously."
Yeah, but I'll probably still see that one's conclusion, if only to see what happens with Helen Mirren and Jason Statham.
By the way, this Cruise film closed out my AMC A*List this week.
That made just two movies this time, starting with the outing with kids on Saturday.
And I'll have another of those this Saturday!!!
"Wait a sec, what about that anime film? Didn't it count on your A*List?"
Oh, no, that was a Fathom event tied in with that 40-year-old movie.
Still, I did get ten bucks off the price, due to two AMC rewards, so it was almost free.
(smile!)
Okay, gotta fly!
The Jepson has "A Knight's Tale" in honor of its armor exhibit, so... later!!!
"Have fun! I know you've had that ticket for a month!"

My meals on Thursday were on cruise control!
In other words, I had leftovers.
(smile!)
Breakfast was some of the pizza from Wednesday with Tony and Laura.
That's some of my pepperoni pie and some of their cheese pizza,
with a tall glass of cold milk, as well as some Lactaid.
Worked like a dream!
Then, early dinner was the other piece of mahi from Carrabbas, cut up and mixed with the leftover rice and green curry sauce from lunch with Dawn.
So very tasty!!!
Best line in the new "MI" franchise entry:
Ethan Hunt was described as "a mind reading, shape shifting , incarnation of chaos".
How delightful!!!
